Our Story

Where Heirloomly began

Heirloomly was started in Chiang Mai by people who had watched families — their own included — struggle after a relative passed away without leaving any clear record of where things were. Not because those relatives had done anything wrong, but simply because no one had ever sat down and written it out.

The practical side of that experience — the searching through drawers, the uncertain phone calls, the paperwork that nobody could find — felt like something that could be made much easier, with a little preparation and the right kind of help. That feeling is what became Heirloomly.

We are not lawyers. We are not financial planners. We are organisers and facilitators who believe that every family deserves to have its important records somewhere sensible and findable. The topics involved can carry a lot of weight. We try to handle them with warmth and patience, at whatever pace suits the family.

Chiang Mai is home to many families that span Thai and international backgrounds, with documents and accounts spread across different countries and systems. We understand that mix, and we have built our work around it.

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Strict confidentiality

We do not retain copies of your documents. Everything shared during sessions remains with you and your family.

Clear scope boundaries

We are an administrative and educational service only. We do not offer legal, financial, or professional advice, and we say so clearly from the first conversation.

Family-paced facilitation

We do not rush. Sessions proceed at whatever pace feels comfortable for the people involved, and we are flexible with scheduling.

Thai & English delivery

All sessions and materials are available in both Thai and English, reflecting the bilingual reality of many Chiang Mai families.

Structured, transferable systems

Every system we help build is designed so your family can maintain it themselves, without ongoing dependence on us.

PDPA-aware data handling

We handle personal information in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act and take care with any data shared during our work together.

Family record organisation in Chiang Mai

Estate organisation is a broad term, but at its core it means making sure important documents — property records, insurance policies, account lists, contact details for professional advisors, family agreements — are findable and understandable to the people who need them. For many families, this kind of tidying never quite happens during the busy years of life. Heirloomly exists to help with exactly that.

We work with families at different stages. Some come to us after an unexpected loss, wanting help sorting through what a relative left behind. Others are planning ahead, hoping to spare their own children a difficult search. Many are simply people who have sensed, quietly, that they ought to get things in order — and who have found it useful to have a calm, practical companion for that process.

Our Chiang Mai office serves families across the province. We understand the particular records landscape here: Thai land title documents, foreign condominium ownership, multiple-jurisdiction financial accounts, bilingual family trees. We are not specialists in any legal area, but we know how to help families map what they have and where it all is.
